Izmir Symphony celebrates Republic Day with special concert in Sofia

The Izmir State Symphony Orchestra held a special concert in Sofia, Bulgaria to commemorate the 101st anniversary of Türkiye’s Republic Day. The concert, which took place on October 29th, was a celebration of friendship and cultural exchange between Türkiye and Bulgaria.

The concert was held at the National Palace of Culture, one of the most prestigious venues in Sofia. The beautiful architecture and acoustics of the venue provided the perfect setting for the orchestra’s performance. The concert was attended by a diverse audience, including government officials, diplomats, music enthusiasts, and members of the Turkish and Bulgarian communities.

The concert opened with the national anthems of both Türkiye and Bulgaria, followed by a speech by the Turkish Ambassador to Bulgaria, H.E. Mustafa Sarnıç. The orchestra, led by conductor Naci Özgüç, then took the stage and began their performance with the famous Turkish march “İzmir Marşı.” The audience was captivated by the powerful and uplifting melody, which symbolizes the spirit of the Turkish people. The orchestra continued with a repertoire of classical and contemporary pieces, showcasing the talent and versatility of the musicians.
