As a New York City worker, I am always on the lookout for the perfect handbag. I am not one of those stylish commuters who can get by with just a mini clutch for a day of work, dinner, and cocktails. My work bag is like a car trunk to me, so the more space, the better. That’s why I was immediately drawn to Coach’s latest collection of oversized bags, especially the Coach Large Kisslock Frame Bag ($695).
But it’s not just about functionality. When I first saw this bag on the runway, I immediately recognized its design inspiration: my grandma’s coin purse. Coach actually cites the vintage Cashin Carry as its muse, a handbag from 1969 designed by Bonnie Cashin, the brand’s first lead designer. It’s truly innovative for Coach to reimagine this archival staple as an oversized It bag – I have never seen anything like it before. When I shared clips of the bag on TikTok, the comment section was flooded with praise. It was clear that Coach had yet another viral handbag moment on their hands (and viral is an understatement – this bag sells out in minutes). While I also have my eye on the teddy bear and dinosaur styles, the kisslock frame bag feels especially fun and versatile, and it comes in a variety of bold and neutral colors.
I have to admit, I did have some reservations. On the runway, the models carried the bag under their arms, looking effortlessly cool. But let’s be real – I need to be able to use my phone, grab my wallet, reach for my emotional support water bottle, apply my lip oil, take my supplements, finish my coffee, and probably do something else I’m forgetting. I need a hands-free option! Fortunately, Coach has thought of everything.
Let me share my full review of the Coach Large Kisslock Frame Bag with you.
What I Love About the Coach Large Kisslock Frame Bag
First and foremost, the Coach Kisslock Frame Bag is incredibly spacious in the best way possible. In fact, after the fashion show, I switched to flats and needed a tote to carry my knee-high boots. To my surprise, they actually fit inside the Frame Bag – that’s how roomy it is.
I was also delighted to find that it comes with a strap, so if you don’t feel like carrying a huge bag under your arm, you have another option for hands-free carrying.

What You Should Know About the Coach Large Kisslock Frame Bag
The bag features an inside zip pocket, so you don’t have to dig around to find your wallet. But if you prefer even more organization and easy access to your smaller items, I would recommend investing in a handbag organizer ($7, originally $10) that you can throw inside.
It’s also a bold style that commands attention, which is further proof that the loud-luxury trend is having a moment. If you prefer a more understated, roomy bag, I am equally in love with the Coach Soft Empire Carryall Bag ($695).
Who is the Coach Large Kisslock Frame Bag Best For?
This bag perfectly combines style and function in a way that is truly unprecedented. If you need a spacious, go-with-everything carryall but don’t want to miss out on the “It bag” conversation, this is the perfect style for you. It’s a rare head-turning conversation starter that also holds all your essentials.
The bag is suitable for everyone, from college students who need to carry their laptops to class, to parents who need to pack snacks and toys for their kids, to commuters like myself who need to have all their essentials on hand at all times. But what sets this bag apart from your average roomy bag is that you can tuck the handle in and be ready for any stylish event on your social calendar.
